LA ESPERANZA, SPRING 2006
Our team arrives at each site to set up three clinics: medical, dental, and vision. Each team claims a classroom (typically) and unpacks their foot lockers for the days activity. Local Hondurans begin lining up outside - but, before they can visit their chosen clinic, they must first hear a clear presentation of the gospel by team members under the direction of Pastor Osael Martinez, the Methodist pastor of Holy Spirit Central. Children are taken to a separate classroom to hear a children's version of the gospel, and each group receives literature giving a written summary of what they've heard. Then, people choose the clinic they'd like to visit: medical, dental, or vision - in some cases, they visit more than one. By the end of their visit, they will receive professional medical attention, whatever drugs the doctor prescribes, and spiritual care.

Team Members
Although their names are not listed here, our mission group was supplemented by several Honduran doctors and dentists, as well as a host of ministry team members, interpreters, and soldiers. We could not do this mission without their very capable support.
